Obituary of Myron Peters

Myron B. “Pete” Peters, age 65 of Morganville, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at his home. He was born on April 19, 1949 in Pennsylvania, the son of Frank and Amy Peters. Pete was a truck driver who enjoyed going on coast to coast hauls. He was in the U.S. Navy and then the Army and served two tours in Vietnam. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Peters of the home; four sons, Dominic Neumayer and wife Lori Clay Center, Matthew Pfeiffer of Manhattan, Colt Peters and wife Carrie of Clifton and Raymond LaVisse of Clay Center; five daughters, Elisha Pfeiffer of Morganville, Donna Brandenberg and husband Brian of Morganville, Lola Peters of Clay Center, Michelle Peters of Salina and Heather Peters of Council Grove; 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. Respect calls may be made anytime Friday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7 - 8:00 P.M. Friday. Burial with military honors will be in the Humboldt Creek Cemetery southeast of Junction City. A memorial has been established for Disabled American Veterans Fund.
