Obituary of Pamela L. Marsch
Pamela L. (Larson) Marsch, age 50, of Anchorage, Alaska, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from complications of a stroke, at the Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage.
She was born on May 9, 1962 in Manhattan, Kansas, the daughter of Verlyn Dean and Paula Lou (Phillips) Larson. She graduated from high school in Dover, Delaware and Kansas State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. She was married to Kurt Marsch. They later divorced.
Pamela was a licensed real estate broker in Kansas, California and Alaska and owned Enterprise Brokers. She recently had become a licensed insurance agent. She was the Vice-President of the P.T.A. for West High School in Anchorage. She was a member of the “Downtown” Rotary Club of Anchorage, Petroleum Club of Anchorage and Independent Investors Club. Pamela attended Shiloh Baptist Church and Anchorage Methodist Church.
She was very involved with politics and the Democratic Party. She was a legislative aide for Alaskan Senator Bettye Davis and attended presidential inaugurations for Presidents Clinton and Obama.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by two sons, Paul and Denali Marsch of Anchorage, Alaska; two brothers, James Larson of Junction City, Kansas and Mark Larson of Morton, Illinois and one sister, Angela Anstaett and husband Bart of Leonardville, Kansas.
Funeral services were held on May 25, 2013 at the Alert Evangelical Covenant Church with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. Music was furnished by LuAnn Lund. Pallbearers were James Larson, Mark Larson, Bart Anstaett, C.J. Jones, Jeff Beck and Ernie Hoffman. Burial was in the Leonardville Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the Pamela Marsch Memorial Fund to be put into a trust for her sons.
