Obituary of Wilma Jean Trumpp

Wilma Jean Trumpp, age 86, of Clay Center, KS, died Sunday January 27, 2013, at Stormont-Vail in Topeka, KS. She was born in her family home in rural Clay Center, KS on December 29, 1926, the daughter of Herman and Anna (Bauer) Friederich. She graduated from Clay County Community High School in 1945. On August 24, 1949 she was married to Arnold Trumpp at her family home in rural Clay Center, KS. He survives of the home. Wilma was a homemaker while her kids were at home and in school. She worked as a secretary for Union State Bank before her children were born and then Leiszler Oil Company after they graduated from school. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. Wilma was an artistic and creative person, whose claim to fame were her homemaking skills. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Gary Trumpp and wife Cathee of Highlands Ranch, CO and Keith Trumpp and wife Leslie of Olathe, KS; one daughter, Beverly Robinson and husband Steve of Overland Park, KS; one sister, Leota Fowles of Clay Center, KS; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Armin Friederich and two sisters, Anita Friederich and Gladys Trumpp. Funeral services were held February 1, 2013 at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Rev. Diana Stewart officiating. Music was furnished by JoAnn Lips, Jamie Braden and Jenni Robinson. Pallbearers were Zack Trumpp, Jarrod Trumpp, Matt Trumpp, Mitch Trumpp, Marcus Trumpp and David Robinson. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Jesus Film Project. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley, KS.
