Obituary of Maxine Faye Enoch
Maxine Faye Enoch, age 95 of Manhattan, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Leonardville Nursing Home.
She was born on July 2, 1919 at the Mayday Township in northern Riley County, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence Hamilton and Verna (Nelson) Inman. She graduated from Manhattan High School.
On November 30, 1941, she was married to Mark Enoch. He preceded her in death in 2002.
Maxine was a homemaker and helped her husband with his Mobil Oil business. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Manhattan. She was a great cook and she and Mark were avid card players.
She is survived by three sons, Steve Enoch and wife Sandy, Lou Enoch and wife Mary and Mike Enoch and wife Kathy, all of Manhattan; two daughters, Patricia Ross and husband Ed of Great Falls, Virginia and Susan Schardein and husband Bill of Manhattan; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Erichson; three brothers, Cecil Inman, Orval Inman and Lyman Inman and two sisters, Ethel Inman and Beulah Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley, with Pastor Dwight Diller officiating. Respect calls may be made anytime Thursday; the family will receive friends from 7 - 8:00 P.M. that evening. Burial will be in the Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan.
A memorial has been established for the Leonardville Nursing Home. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley.
