My earliest memory of Shorty was when he came home from Germany for a surprise visit in the early 1960's. He came in and out of our lives often and our family was very saddened to learn of his passing, In some ways Shorty was a very gregarious and outgoing character but also was very private and set in his ways. He was very close to my father and my father was a proud uncle from the day Shorty was born. Rest in Peace.
