I have lots of memories of Fred and they are all good; I have been thinking a lot about him the past few days. He was a wonderful person; I will always remember his laugh. We had lots of fun playing sports and Fred was always there. He will be missed and there are many, many great memories the we will be able to cherish. The video was a wonderful snapshot of who he was...family, sports and farming.
My condolences go out to you and I will continue to hold you in my thoughts and remember Fred.

Uncle Fred, we will miss you. We'll miss your jovial heart and contagious laugh. You appeared to always have an upbeat response to all situations even though we know life was not always perfect but often filled with trials and losses.
You and Aunt Betty always portrayed a glowing example of a Christian home. Fighting through the trials with strength and guidance from your Savior. For that, we thank you. We will always think of you and Aunt Betty as that shining example of Christianity. You always gave of your time for others and were never judgmental of others that may not believe or behave as you may have approved. Thank you for being there for your family members and giving more than you ever knew. Breathe freely, Uncle Fred. We love you and will see you soon.

Thinking of your family at this time of loss. It was always a pleasure to take care of Fred. Even when he was in the hospital, he was always in good spirits and always smiling. No matter what type of day we had, visiting Fred would improve it significantly. We are all better for knowing him. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Fred's passing. Being a close friend of Kevin, I knew him as an acquaintance, but enjoyed the dialogue we had. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, but we can smile knowing he's with his son once again as they look down upon us.

Kim and family,
I am so sorry about your father's passing. I just lost my dad last week and the pain would be almost unbearable, had I not have the great and wonderful memories of his life here on earth. Keep those memories of your father close to you and cherish them. It makes dealing with him being gone a little easier, and know that he now rests with the Lord above. Sending many hugs to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Deb Metzler

Sincere prayers and condolences to your family. I watched MANY Riley County ball games with Fred and truly admired his pleasantness, love of our youth, and the pride he had in Riley County. A true gentleman in every way. Will be missed very much.

I will always remember the great laugh. We always knew where Uncle Fred was from the sound of his laughter. And we know where he is now. He is in the light of our Lord and Saviour and with our dear cousin, Kevin. I know Kevin welcomed Uncle Fred with open arms and they are in the presence, together, of all of our family and friends gone before us. God Bless Aunt Betty and family.

Our heart and prayers go out to the whole family! Freddy was an awesome guy! I will never forget the playing football story with Sikes, Higgins and Freddy - he actually had a belly roll laughing about that at the Kevin & Mary Larson Anniversary party! He will be missed! He was a matriarch of the area!
