Obituary of Jacqueline Dowland

Jacqueline Dowland, age 61 of Riley, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan. She was born on January 31, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of William and Rosetta (Hester) Barstow. On December 23, 2005, she married Donald Dowland. He survives of the home. She was the owner of Alterations by Jacquie since 2007 and also had The Sewing Room in Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania from 1992 until 1994. She attended the Riley United Methodist Church and helped found “Helping Hands” in Stoneboro, Pennsylvania. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Andrew Barstow of Wadsworth, Ohio and Cody Hovis of Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania; one sister, Cindy Livermore of Brooklyn, Michigan and one grandchild. Cremation is planned with private family services at a later date. The Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
