Obituary of Billy Joe Webb

Billy Joe Webb, age 31 of Riley, KS, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his residence. He was born on June 21, 1982 at Clay Center, KS, the son of Joe Bob and Alice Irene (Bolek) Webb. Billy was a member of the Boy Scouts and the Riley Presbyterian Church. He did electrical work on appliances for GE. He earned all-state honors in 1999 and 2000 playing football for Riley County. After high school, he played football at Butler County Community College and was a member of the 2001 National Championship team. He met his life partner and soul mate, Stephanie Sanborn on Memorial Day in 2006. He continued his education at KSU from 2007 to 2010 to become a social worker. His passion was helping others. He was a wonderful father and caretaker for their son Blaise He is survived by his life partner, Stephanie Sanborn and his son, Blaise S.F. Webb, both of the home; his mother, Alice Webb of Riley; his father, Joe Webb and wife Tina of Nesbit, MS; one brother, Michael Webb and life partner Tanya Pride of Riley; one sister, Monica Morales and husband Alvero of Fort Riley; two grandmothers, Donna Bolek of Riley and Marjorie Webb of Riley and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, Dwayne Bolek and Gordon Webb. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley, KS with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. Pallbearers were Michael Webb, Cody Brown, Matt Younkin, Adam Murphy, Pete Webb and Dwayne “Abe” Bolek. Burial was in the Humboldt Creek Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Blaise S.F. Webb Educational Fund. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley, KS.
