Obituary of Glen Andersen
Walter Glen Andersen, age 88 of Waterville, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville.
He was born on October 2, 1928 in Manhattan, the son of Wiggo and Grace (Eversmeier) Andersen.
On May 22, 1949, he was married to Lois Blaser in the Waterville United Methodist Church. She survives of the home.
Glen was a farmer and owned a dairy operation. He was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church and served on the Church Council, Waterville Housing Board, Waterville City Zoning Board, Waterville Lions Club, Waterville Co-oP Association and the National Board of Associated Milk Producers.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Larry Andersen and Kathy Hupp of Lawrence, Mark Andersen and Susan of Lawrence and Gail Andersen and Julie of Waterville; one daughter, Karen Benson and Joe of Hiawatha, one brother, Frank Andersen and Evelyn of Ozawkie; one sister, Nora May Eschelman of Salina; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence and two sisters, Dorothy and Anna.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 at the St. Mark Lutheran Church in Waterville with Rev. Debby Dick officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m until service time on Friday at the St. Mark Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for the St. Mark Lutheran Church. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley.
