Obituary of Delmar Cessna
Delmar B. Cessna, age 87 of Englewood, Florida, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida.
He was born on October 18, 1930 in Rago, Kansas, the son of Noel and Helen (Mattingly) Cessna. He was a graduate of Washburn University.
On August 4, 1951 at Walsburg Lutheran Church, he was married to Marcelene Adile Nilson. She survives of the home.
Delmar was an independent insurance agent and owned Anderson-Cully-Cessna Agency in Boardman, Ohio. He was a member of the Boardman Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a great father to his children, playing football and baseball with them and helping build soap box derby cars.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Donald Cessna and Scott Cessna, both of Englewood, Florida and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Noel and Delores.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Walsburg Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial has been established for Walsburg Lutheran Church and may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
