Obituary of Anna Drown
Anna Marie Drown, age 73 of Riley, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the Via Christi Hospital.
She was born on May 15, 1945 in Sparta, Illinois, the daughter of William John and Iris Estelle (Harriman) Mezel.
She married Harold Conner on November 14, 1958 and to that union three kids, Tammy, Harold and Sherry were born. She married Donnie Carter on November 5, 1970 and one child, Amber, was born to that union.
On July 3, 1984, she was married to Dennis Roger Drown. He survives of the home.
Anna was a school bus driver for the Riley County School District. In her younger years, she worked in a furniture factory restoring furniture and a comic book factory. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, going to casinos, motorcycle riding, racing dirt bikes, competing in drag races and traveling. She had seen all 50 states. She was a member of the Eagles and the Manhattan bowling league.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Tammy Webb and Mike of Clarksville, Tennessee and Amber Christensen and Greg of Waterville; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Harold Conner; one daughter, Sherry Conner and one brother, William Mezel.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday. Inurnment will be in Coulterville, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
