In remembrance of Don:
Sorry to hear about your Dad. I am really grateful that we met at Fort Ord and have continued that friendship forever. He was a real cool, fun, and funny guy to hang around with. He didn’t ever seem to get mad or angry. It happened, but not very often. I was impressed by his happy-go-lucky style of life. I would have liked to have some of that rub off on me. We always had a great time when we got together. He made us army buddies laugh a lot. Wish I could share some of those stories with you, but it is hard to think of them right now. But I know there were a lot of stories. I am grateful that he was a part of my life. I will always remember Don. Take care, John Forrest.
