Obituary of Dale Weisner

Dale Eugene Weisner, age 75 of Riley, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at Via Christi Hospital. He was born on February 19, 1940 in Junction City, the son of Francis and Frances (Lynn) Weisner. He attended school in Wakefield and received his GED while serving in the U.S. Air Force, where his job was plane maintenance. He was married to Mary Davis and they later divorced. He has spent the last 25 years with his life partner, Rosemary Reese. Dale had various jobs with his last job being an electrician with Triple A Electric. In his younger years he enjoyed drag racing with Norwin Palmer. After his retirement, he enjoyed race cars, sports and restoring vehicles. He is survived by Rosemary Reese of Riley, two sons, Mark Weisner (Linda) of Springfield, Missouri and Courtney Christenson (Shelly) of Westmoreland; two daughters, Kelli Weisner and Brenda Breshears (Ray), both of Sedalia, Missouri; two sisters, Corrine and Rocksy; one sister in law, Judy Weisner; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Barbara Lindsey and one brother, John Weisner. Dale’s wish was to be cremated and the family will receive friends from 7 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley for a time of telling stories and remembrance. A memorial has been established for KSU Johnson Center for Cancer Research. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
