Obituary of Harold Fritzson

Harold Bernard Fritzson, age 89 of St. George, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Wamego Health Center.

He was born on February 25, 1929 in Manhattan, the son of Clarence Ivar and Lillian Marie (Bergsten) Fritzson.  He graduated from Cleburne High School.

On April 8, 1951, he was married to Donna Lee Blaske.  She preceded him in death in 1988.  He later married Mary Elizabeth Webster on June 30, 1990.  She preceded him in death in 2015.

Harold was a farmer and school bus driver.  He drove for Blue Valley Randolph schools for 28 years and Manhattan schools for 4 years.  He was a member of the Swede Creek United Methodist Church, active in the St. George United Methodist Church and the Wamego Senior Center.  He enjoyed working in his yard and was a jack-of-all trades.

He is survived by four children, Karen Wachsnicht of Blue Rapids, Wendell Fritzson of Blue Rapids, Bernard Fritzson (Leita) of Solomon and Lori Swenson (Curtis) of Miltonvale; one sister, LaVera Webster of Fostoria; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and his four legged companion, Ginny.

In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents; a son in law, Wayne Wachsnicht; a great grandson, Kent Michael Pope; a brother in law, Lyle Webster and a nephew, Steven Webster.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Swede Creek United Methodist Church with Pastors Sandy Ferguson and Leslye Haller officiating.  Inurnment will be in the Bellegard Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for the Wamego Senior Center, Swede Creek United Methodist Church and St. George United Methodist Church.  Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
