I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences. Bill was such a joy. My family and I enjoyed him while we had the convenience store in Riley. He always had a smile and a good word. His laugh was contagious.
Prayers for you during this difficult season.

Bill was a good friend to me when he and I worked for the Manhattan Fire Department. He had a strong personality and wasn't shy about expressing his views. He was, in my opinion, the best fire driver on the Department when he was there. He was someone you could count on at a fire. Bill had great laugh and was fun to work with. I was fortunate to see him again not too long ago and while we were both older, he still had that great laugh. He will be missed.

I always enjoyed running into Bill from time to time. I looked up to him, and always enjoyed watching him in athletics in high school...he always gave 110%. God Bless you.

Lisa and Lori – I was saddened to hear of your Dad’s passing. Loved ones live on in our memories of them. Even though I was 10 years younger, I remember how he was always up to play some baseball, touch football or shoot baskets with me. May your memories of him help in comforting you at this difficult time.

It was with great sadness that I learned of Bill’s passing. I had known him since I was in middle school many years ago. Bill was in high school and, in many ways, was a like an older brother to me. We spent countless hours playing catch, throwing footballs back and forth, shooting baskets, hunting and fishing, working on cars, going to the drag races, watching TV, and just hanging out. I also went with him on his delivery routes a few times, which was fun, but I was impressed by how well he tended to business and took care of his customers. Like a lot of others, we didn’t keep in touch after I moved away but I always enjoying seeing him at family gatherings and later running into him occasionally. Each time, the years just melted away and I vowed to do better to stay in touch. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to do that now. I haven’t seen Bill for a while and will miss him but have many fond memories of our time together. He is with Laci now and I hope to see them again some day. Until then…

Thinking of you and your family during your time of sorrow and sending love to your entire family and friends who loved Bill so much. Lori, I will never forget the slumber parties we had in grade school and your dad showed us in the basement how he could grab the pull and lift himself sideways!!! It was always so much fun!! Embrace the memories as they will bring much comfort to you! Love, Nancy.

Thinking about the family and want send our love your way! We've been sharing stories about Bill's sense of humor and his unique gift as the "animal whisperer". Bill never met a stranger and his smile was infectious. Glad he was part of our family!!
Love you!

Tim and I are very sorry to hear about Bill. I remember being younger when I met him for the first time and I was like - hubba hubba - he sure is cute "for an older man". Now I know where Cameron gets his good looks from. Our deepest sympathies are with you all.

Grandpa we miss you so much already. We have shed many tears and told great stories since Sunday night. We wish we could have been with you while you passed away. We know Barb was there to comfort and hold you going into the next life and we are so grateful for that. You have always been such a big part of our life, from the time Lisa and I were married till we moved back to be closer to you guys. Our times together were a blast with so many adventures and trips. Our ups and downs were shared with you and vice versa. We really got to know each other quite well and always looked forward to spending time with you. You will always be known as the Dog Whisperer with your uncanny ability to work with dogs and teach them tricks. Even the tough ones were no match for you as Max would agree. As far as dogs go Winston will miss you the most as he loved your company and felt safe in your care. Your wife Barb is a wonderful woman and you guys made a great pair. We know he loved you and Kelsey with all his heart. Your friends are many and I know they thought highly of you. Your love of this place and its many characters showed every time we went out. Gentle soul go easy as we celebrate your life. Love Tom Lisa and Cam
