Obituary of Catherine Jones

Catherine Jones, age 76 of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Hillsboro Community Hospital.

She was born on August 6, 1942 in Slater, Missouri, the daughter of Gyles and Mary Catherine (Nix) Coleman.  She graduated from Slater High School in 1960.

On November 3, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri, she was married to Larry Earl Jones, Sr.  He preceded her in death in 2012.

Cathy was very proud of her children and grandchildren and loved spending time with them.  She was a talented pianist and organist, playing at church and home for enjoyment.  She was wonderful at baking and enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble and gardening.

She is survived by one daughter, Kristi Lynn Rohaus and husband Casey of Kechi; one son, Larry Jones, Jr. and wife Virginia of Spring Hill; six grandchildren, Larry F. Jones and wife Kaley, Caitlyn Rohaus, Kathleen Rohaus, Nathan Jones, Carlie Joe Rohaus and Brooke Jones; two great grandchildren, Malakai and Memphis Jones and one sister, Carolyn Tillotson.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.  Burial will be in the Bala Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to HOK Baptist Association Disaster Relief Fund.  Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
