Obituary of Wanda Llewelyn

Wanda Fern Llewelyn, age 92 of Clay Center, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Salina Regional Health Center.

She was born on March 29, 1927 in Leonardville, the daughter of Rudolph Richard and Leda Anna (Harvey) Lindstrom.

On April 3, 1947, she was married to Vaughan Calvin Llewelyn.  He survives of Clay Center. Wanda was mainly a homemaker, but did work outside of the home in the fabric department at Wal-Mart.  She was a member of the Clay Center Christian Church and was involved with the Women’s Circle Group and was a member of the Abilene China Painter’s Club.  She enjoyed china painting, crocheting, sewing and crafts.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Daniel Llewelyn and wife Kim of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three daughters, Jeanette Sharp and husband Maurice of Wakefield, Patricia Scott of Overland Park and Jane Zimbelman and husband Kris of Edmond, Oklahoma; one brother, Richard Lindstrom of Fresno, California; one sister, Darlene Gravenstein of Topeka; nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Franklin and Marvin Lindstrom; one sister, Letha Lovell and one son-in-law, Larry Scott.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home with Pastor Maria Foerschler officiating.  The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday.  Burial will be in the Bala Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for the Meyer Center for Special Children, 1132 Rutherford Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29609.  Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
