Obituary of Gisela Beynon

Gisela Beynon, age 72 of Clay Center, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Clay County Medical Center. She was born on September 12, 1947 in Goeppingen, West Germany, the daughter of George and Maria Samendinger. She went to school in Goeppingen and got a degree as a hairstylist. On January 14, 1972 in Goeppingen, West Germany, she was married to Darwin Beynon. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2006. Gisela worked as a dietary cook for the St. Joseph Nursing Home in Manhattan. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, crocheting, gardening, shopping and looking at Pinterest. She is survived by three daughters, Wendy Eidenmueller and husband Andy of Clay Center, Sylvia Hotrum of Leonardville and Winnie Haney and husband John of Texas; five granddaughters, Lisa Grove, Sarah Beals, Felicia Mendez, Lecia Taylor and Brei Taylor; four grandsons, Jason Eidenmueller, Andy Eidenmueller, Jr., Ryan Hotrum and Alex Hotrum; seven great grandchildren, Brooke Eidenmueller, Keshawn Eidenmueller, Haylee Beals, Aubree Eidenmueller, Carter Beals, Octavia Beals and Addison Mendez and two sisters, Rita and Monika, both of Germany. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Lotah and one sister, Inge. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Burial will be in the Riley Cemetery.
