When my father moved our family off the farm in 1963, to Wisconsin, he needed to find someone he could trust to continue to share crop the land with. With God’s blessing, he found Arlo and Wava. Their handshake deal continued for decades until my father’s passing. Another handshake and the collaboration continued with me for several more years until Arlo decided to finally retire. True to his nature, Arlo found someone just as trustworthy for me to continue with. Handshake deals like that are becoming a thing of the past. It takes honesty, strength of character, integrity and respect. Arlo was most certainly in possession of all those, and more. I, and my father, were thankful and blessed to have known and partnered with him. With much love and respect, rest in peace Arlo. - Harold Coltharp
