Obituary of Edward Shouse
Edward “Eddie” Lewis Shouse III, age 36 of Riley, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020 at his residence.
He was born on August 25, 1983, the son of Edward “Butch” Shouse II and Sue “Omma” Shouse.
He proudly served in the US Army in the 1/28 Black Lions 4th BDE 1st Infantry Division from 2007-2013. He served two combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq.
On September 8, 2018 he married his love Bridget Covello of Riley, Kansas. Eddie was a genuine and humble person who always stayed true to his Christian faith. He was a proud Georgia Bulldog fan who had a love for tattoos (known as Big Red at the tattoo shop) and guns. Additionally, Eddie loved fishing with his boys (Brayden, Parker, & Joey) and cooking for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Bridget Covello-Shouse; four children Brayden (14), Parker (15), Joey Covello and Kirsten Covello of Schofield Barracks, HI, and Samantha Covello of Topeka, KS, and he was the proud “Pappy” of one grandchild Mazikeen Covello. He is also survived by his Kansas family, Jeff and Gina Flikkie of Riley KS, Heather and Blake White of Frankfort, KS, Tommy and Jessica Flikkie and their children Logan and Gavin (Gooey) of Manhattan, KS.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 pm Friday June 26, 2020 at the Manhattan Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life following services at 16090 Sherman Road, Leonardville KS 66449.
