Obituary of Justine Flohr

Justine Kaye Flohr, age 62 of Riley, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan. She was born on November 10, 1958 in Clay Center, the daughter of H. Warren and Zola Earlene (Lloyd) Sylvester. On November 26, 1976, she married Dale Edward Flohr. He preceded her in death on September 21, 2011. Justine was a housewife, but in her younger years, worked for Farm Bureau and Moorman Feeds. She was a history buff, studying her family’s genealogy. She enjoyed spending time watching birds and butterflies, working in her flower garden, watching the Kansas City Royals and helping her son on the farm. She is survived by her son, Waylon Flohr of Riley and her mother, Zola Sylvester of Leonardville. In addition to her husband, Dale Flohr, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dulcie Flohr and her father, Warren Sylvester. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at the Walsburg Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. Memorials may be made for KJIL Christian Radio and left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
