Obituary of Jeffrey J. Fronce

Jeffrey J. Fronce, age 52, of Manhattan, Kansas, died on Sunday, September 9, 2012, at the Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan, with his family at his side. He had lived the last year at Meadowlark Hills Stolzer House. He was born on April 26, 1960, in Manhattan, the son of Larry and Darlene (West) Fronce. He attended Manhattan schools and graduated from Manhattan High School with the Class of 1981. He received training and worked in the community through Big Lakes Developmental Center. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Manhattan, he enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics and loved to bowl. He was a member of the Barrier Free Exceptional Theater and had flown to Washington, D.C. to perform with a theater group. His love of acting, books and music brought him great enjoyment. His smile and joy for living extended to all and will never be forgotten. He is survived by his parents, Larry and Darlene Fronce; two brothers, Larry D. Fronce of Manhattan and Todd A. Fronce and wife Deyanira of El Paso, Texas; one sister Krista Thaemert and husband Tom of Manhattan; two nephews, Justin Fronce and Reese Thaemert; three nieces, Savannah Thaemert, Sarah and Abigail Fronce; numerous special aunts, uncles cousins, and dear friends. A memorial service celebrating Jeffrey’s life was held on Friday, September 14th at the First United Methodist Church in Manhattan, with Rev. Troy Bowers officiating. The Holmes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley, Kansas, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials have been established for the Meadowlark Hills Stolzer House, Big Lakes Developmental Center and the Kansas Special Olympics and may be sent in care of the Holmes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
