Obituary of Norma Jane Lindsey

Norma Jane Lindsey, age 83 of Leonardville, Kansas, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Leonardville Nursing Home. She was born on February 26, 1932 in Columbia, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas Henry and Stella (Liddell) Stewart. On September 29, 1946, she was married to Clarence Eugene Lindsey. He preceded her in death on September 12, 2004. Norma was a loyal wife and mother to Gene and her sons. She enjoyed cooking and was loved by her family and friends. She is survived by three sons, Steven Dean Lindsey and wife Diane of Manhattan, John Patrick Lindsey and wife Dianne of Cabot, Arkansas and Michael Eugene Lindsey of Bennington; one sister, Martha Ann Schuler of Kansas City; six grandchildren, Thomas John Lindsey, Kelsey Stewart, Forrest Eugene Lindsey, Chance Patrick Lindsey, Erin Elizabeth and Tama Jane Lindsey; two great grandchildren and was loved by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Gene, she was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Peter Lindsey. Cremation is planned with a memorial service to be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Sedalia Community Church with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating. The Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley is handling the arrangements.
