Obituary of Karl L. Williams

Karl L. Williams, age 54, of Olsburg, Kansas, died on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at his home in Olsburg. He was born on May 6, 1958, at Niagara Falls, New York, the son of Lee and Joann Williams. He attended Riley County and Blue Valley USD #384 schools. Karl graduated from Blue Valley High School with the Class of 1976. He had been a cashier at Union State Bank in Olsburg, operated Brick’s Steakhouse and Lounge and the Kaffe Hus in Olsburg, employed as a Manhattan Postal Carrier and had worked at KSU. Karl also enjoyed his Angus cow herd. He was a member of the Angus Association and served on the Board of Directors of Union State Bank in Olsburg. Karl truly will be missed by all. He loved family and friends, lunch with “The Girls,” the Taco Thursday crowd, and the Saturday Breakfast group. If there was a job to be done, he was there for all. His thoughtfulness and kindness extended to young and old will never be forgotten. He is survived by his parents, Lee and Joann Williams; three brothers, Kevin Williams and wife Calvette, Keith (Sam) Williams and wife Lynda, and Kent (Marty) Williams and wife Deb; two sisters, Karen Cassel and husband Don, and Kathy Rootring and husband Jeff all of Olsburg, Kansas, numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Karl was preceded in death by an infant sister, Kristy Williams. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Holmes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley, Kansas, is in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established for the Olsburg Community Pride for the Pool and Park’s benefit.
