I had the good fortune to be backyard neighbors with George and Jean for many years in Manhattan. George and I would chat about a variety of things as we worked in our flower gardens and yards. George knew my Dad, and knew many of the people and places that I knew. It was always reassuring and comfortable to see George and Jean sitting out on their patio in the backyard. I have many, many fond memories of our long talks over the backyard fence, shared knowledge and companionship. I moved about 3 years ago, and my talks with George and Jean in the backyard is the thing I miss the most.

I’m so sorry for your loss he was a great man with a good sense of humor. I have been flooded with memories of all the things we did together over the years, we had so much fun and he was always a joy to be with.
I will be thinking of all of you as you go through these difficult days,
I apologize for not being there but I just found out about it and couldn’t get there in time from here in Missouri.i will call you Jean probably tomorrow as I know you will be exhausted from today. All my love Robin
