I was shocked and saddened by the news of Kurtis' death. I know there are no words that can ease your pain right now but I do pray that God will give you His peace and comfort and one day you may experience what you need. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time.

I dont know what to put here really. I didnt know kurtis very well an im sorry about that. All i know is he was a good guy. Always trying to make people laugh. Always making sure his freinds and family were ok. I didnt wanna be one of those people who says I wish i tried to hang out and talk more but i do wish i did. And im sure if he were here right now hed tell me not to be so nervous about what to put. But i really am sorry for your loss.

Kurtis was the kind of kid that inspires everyone around him. I remember the first time he scored a touchdown! Every other boy on the team and every parent in the stand celebrated him and we all knew we had been a part of something special. He was just the person that people wanted to see be successful. So many of my memories of Keith growing up also include Kurtis. Katie and Mike, I can not begin to tell you how very much he will be missed. Thank you for sharing him with us all those years. It was our pleasure to know him and we will always keep our memories of him close to our hearts.

I will always remember the fun times at the Mays reunions where we’d get everyone together and hang out at the park and eventually end up with a water balloon fight or silly string war where he’d climb up the trees and ambush us from above. Was always a joy to hang out with him wherever we were at.
Kurtis will always be in our hearts and our memories with him will forever live on

Kurtis will forever be my older brother. When we were little he used to tell me that I lived on his street because he lived on the 200 block and I lived on the 500 block. Then we moved to the very corner of the 100 block and Kurtis was so upset because I then owned the block. Every time we had a get together at his house we would teach the younger cousins how to play worelock and you never knew what Kurtis was going to trip over or get himself into. I haven’t cried at any of the graduations I’ve been to but I most definitely cried when Kurtis walked across the stage. Mainly because I knew that meant my childhood protector would no longer be right down the road even if he would always be a text or a call away. Thank you Mike and Katie for being a part of our lives and I love you ❤️
