Obituary of Kurtis Anderson

Kurtis Dean Anderson, age 20 of Green, died as the result of an automobile accident, west of Riley.

He was born on August 25, 1998 in La Junta, Colorado, the son of Michael Dale and Katie Nichole (Mays) Anderson.  He graduated from Crowley County High School in Ordway, Colorado.

Kurtis was an automotive technician for Wal-Mart and most recently KIA of Manhattan.  He enjoyed working on cars and spent tireless hours fixing up his temperamental 70's model Oldsmobile; he would get it running and proudly drive around town giving rides.  He was an artist at heart; he had a passion for music and books and loved painting and drawing. By Kurtis's side most of the time was his beloved German Shepard Belle, who he adored. Most importantly, he loved his family and friends truly and was always there whenever he was needed. 

He is survived by his parents, Michael and Katie Anderson of Green; his sister, Lillian Anderson of Green; his maternal grandparents, Roland and Linda Mays of Green and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Michaella Anderson and his paternal grandparents, Dale and Sue Anderson. 
 
As Kurtis had said at his graduation, " I want to travel the world and seven seas, because sweet dreams are made of these."
 
Memorial services will be held at the Green Christian Center on Tuesday, August 13th at 10:00 a.m.  Inurnment will be in Ordway, Colorado on Friday, August 16th at 10:00 a.m.

A memorial has been established for the Anderson Family.  Contributions can be sent to 300 Main Street, Ordway, Co 81063 or may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
